There Are Degrees of Suffering

There are degrees
of suffering.
The little falling down
of childhood,
the fence, the hill,
the teacher who would
and the one who would not.
There are degrees

If anyone asks let me tell.
The half full, the empty,
the dawn, the dark.
I can’t quite get it right.
